Werkrennen: PCC Factory Racing
We love racing and riding on track. It's a huge part of our motorcycle background, and ever since we started working on the BMW R nineT models, it's been the plan to create our own version to push on track.
Developing a no-holds-barred, peak-performance build around the R9T platform uncovers all sorts of hurdles and hidden gems that help us in our regular custom build work – even bikes that are built for comfort and adventure rather than lap times! For example, our Electronics Packages use data we've gathered on the track throughout the Werkrennen project to remap Gen3 engines and unlock additional power. Fabricating our own parts in-house has resulted in a growing range of Pier City Components. We've also worked with G&G to create an exhaust system specifically for the Werkrennen bike. If there's interest in one, we will work on a road-going version too. Why not, eh?!

It's Not All About The Bike
We don't need much encouragement to go both-feet into something like this. So, we're not just working on a track-optimised version of the R NineT. We're also working on a track-optimised version of Stu. That means even more of his gym equipment in the workshop, but also more time studying past races, and even getting stuck into some criterium races on his bicycle to hone race craft.
