R9T Series & R12 Series - What Does It Mean?

With the production of the R12 nineT, the model names of the BMW R9T and R12 motorcycles became a little confusing. In order to clarify the compatibility of our parts, we use the following terms;

R9T Series - All BMW R nineT models produced between 2014-2023, including the Roadster, Pure, Scrambler, Urban GS and Racer. Please check product description details for any model compatibility queries.

R12 Series - All BMW R12 models produced from 2024 onwards, including the R12, R12 nineT & R12S. Please check product description details for any model compatibility queries.

Ordering & Shipping Conditions

We supply parts and accessories worldwide. We look to stock as many products as we possibly can here with us at our workshop, but with approximately one thousand products listed on the website, it’s impossible for us to have absolutely everything on the shelf. We rely on both the manufacturers and UK suppliers to source the items that we don’t carry, and with each of these options there is an associated lead time - you can see the details of these lead times here. If you require a part for a specific deadline then please contact us beforehand.

We subsidise all shipping costs already, which means that we are unable to offer any discounts when it comes to shipping. In an event of an order being too large to use our regular courier services, we retain the right to request an additional payment to be made before sourcing your parts. This will always be done before your order is ready to ship and you will have the opportunity to reject this order at this time.

In an event that your order is not as you were expecting please email us at info@piercitycustom.com.

We accept returns so long as all items are in a fully resalable condition and are not fitted. In event of any warranty claims or damaged items being received, we will need to speak to the manufacturer or courier before processing any claims. We do not cover the cost of return shipping outside of the UK.

We are happy to cancel standard orders (not special order items) if you change your mind before your order has shipped. However, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 5% of your order to cover the website handling fees that we are charged by Shopify.

We are unable to sell Wunderlich parts outside of the UK, due to market territory agreements.

Since January 1st 2021 ("Brexit") we have amended the way that we price and ship orders. We charge VAT for UK customers only. Any purchases outside of the UK may receive a local customs charge. We operate and ship under the Delivered At Place (DAP), also called delivered duty unpaid (DDU), terms. This term indicates that the seller only takes responsibility for shipping the product, and requires the customer to pay any import costs, such as VAT, duties, and clearing fees. Please be aware of this when ordering. You will need to consult your local customs regulations to see what the possible customs charges may be as they vary from country to country. Please note that additional Tariffs may be applied to all orders shipping to the USA.

Homologated enlarged fuel tank Dakar BMW R12 G/S

The UNIT garage R12 G/S Dakar Kit: A Return to the Origins.
The new R12 G/S Dakar kit is a tribute to the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally. The history of Unit Garage is deeply linked to this race, in which founder Fabio Marcaccini participated in five editions in the 1980s.
When BMW launched the R12 G/S, we immediately thought of reinterpreting the classic Dakar style in a modern key.
This bike is the perfect canvas for recreating an icon, in line with our philosophy of combining tradition and innovation. We are grateful to BMW for creating a motorcycle that allows us to continue a journey that began over 40 years ago.
Simple and reversible assembly, every component of the kit is Plug & Play.
You can transform your R12 G/S into an R12 G/S Dakar in a few hours, thanks to the manual and video tutorials included.
No modifications to the original (OEM) components are required, and the entire process is completely reversible.
The new R12 G/S marks a return to the roots of the G/S line, and our Dakar kit brings the spirit of rallying back to life with today's comfort and performance.
